Account Executive

Overview: 

Locher Evers International (LEI) is a full-service freight forwarder, customs broker and 3PL operator with offices in multi-provinces. We have a global agency network and offer worldwide shipping and logistics services including Air Freight, Ocean Freight, Ground Transport, Project Cargo.

 

LEI has an immediate opening in our Brampton (Ontario) office for a full time Account Executive. We are seeking a new team member that enjoys a fast-paced environment and is reliable, hardworking, that also has great professional phone etiquette along with organizational skills. Your transportation industry experience is combined with a strong attention to detail make you excellent at what you do.

Job Description: 
  • Help customers navigate through the shipping process for all modes of transport, Air / Ocean and Warehousing. Responsibilities
  • Collaborate and build relationships with customers, carriers, and agent representatives regarding air, ocean, import, and export products
  • Develop a deep understanding of existing and prospective accounts to identify opportunities for growth
  • As primary contact for assigned customers, including making personal visits, phone calls, and other regularly scheduled and ad hoc contract
  • Respond to sales leads, generate, and close business opportunities
  • Manage and update client database
  • Promote all company products and services
  • Timely preparation of rates proposals and quotes for customers
  • Meet or exceed annual goals established by the company
  • Represent Locher Evers International with the highest ethical standards at all times
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements: 
  • Minimum 3 years of Canadian International freight forwarding experience
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Knowledge of Logistics including Import & Export Air, Ocean and Trucking will be an asset
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Must have a proven sales track record in business development
  • Proficiency with Microsoft office suite
  • Must be willing to work in a very high energy team-based environment
  • Proven ability to work autonomously and maintain solid working relationships with internal and external customers
  • Demonstrated follow-through and detail orientation
  • Prior experience with CargoWise will be an asset
