Account Manager - Delta, BC

Join our team!! Locher Evers International, industry leading and highly regarded freight forwarder, is growing rapidly!  LEI has an immediate opening in our sales division located at our Head Office on Annacis Island (Delta) for a full time Account Manager/Sales Representative.

The Account Manager/Sales Representative will liaise between the Customer, Operations department, and other sales representatives.

Duties of the position:

• Account retention 75% and new business development 25%
• Maintain regular contact with accounts
• Maintain a good understanding of clients’ business and of solutions proposed by competition
• Service quotes, follow ups, and customer communication
• Produce activity reports summarizing activities and opportunities
• Participate in sales meetings
• Identify decision makers at potential clients
• Maintain and update account information
• Other duties as assigned by management

Skills required:

• Self-motivated with a professional approach
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, Publisher, PowerPoint)
• Team oriented
• Minimum of 2 years of freight forwarding sales experience (freight forwarding, transportation, 3PL)
• 3+ years’ experience in freight forwarding operations (Ocean and Air)

Availability

• Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm
• Start as soon as possible

Wage – dependent on experience
